My design work is heavily influenced by the modernist 70s retro/vintage style and follows organic hand generated imagery. With these influences in mind, my work is often vibrant, and I enjoy playing with colour theory. I have a strong eye for typography and pride myself in my ability to create cohesive type. Building on my modernist influences, I have a strong interest in photography—especially using the film medium. Through my design process, I have learnt the importance of negative space when creating effective visual balance. I take great inspiration from minimalist design, specifically the idea of how powerful a simple word that sits in a piece of design within negative space can hold such power.
